• Location: York, Pennsylvania (17403) – South Central PA healthcare jobs
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $2050 per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks travel nursing contract
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Shift: Day shifts: 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:30) or 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirements: 1-2 calls per week (Mon-Thur), 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks
• Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Unit: 18 Operating Rooms, daily census 50-60 cases

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Specialized experience in neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics OR cases
• Ability to function independently in Neurosurgery
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience in Trauma Level II facility required; Level I preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• First-time travel nurses not accepted
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics surgical cases
• Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy, spinal fusions, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, and minimally invasive surgeries
• Administer blood and blood products, manage wound care, and handle surgical specimens
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, fire safety, and universal protocol procedures
• Respond to code situations and surgical emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekday and weekend call shifts
• Provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed
