- Location: York, Pennsylvania (17403) – South Central PA healthcare jobs
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $2050 per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks travel nursing contract
- Start Date: December 22, 2025
- End Date: March 23, 2026
- Shift: Day shifts: 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:30) or 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: 1-2 calls per week (Mon-Thur), 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks
- Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
- Unit: 18 Operating Rooms, daily census 50-60 cases
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Specialized experience in neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics OR cases
- Ability to function independently in Neurosurgery
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience in Trauma Level II facility required; Level I preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- First-time travel nurses not accepted
- Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics surgical cases
- Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy, spinal fusions, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Administer blood and blood products, manage wound care, and handle surgical specimens
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, fire safety, and universal protocol procedures
- Respond to code situations and surgical emergencies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekday and weekend call shifts
- Provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed
