Operating Room RN Job Details

• Location: Ketchum, Idaho (83340) – Premier Idaho healthcare job in a scenic resort town with abundant outdoor recreation.
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,330 - $2,500
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Surgical Services, Operating Room (OR)
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shifts (7:00am – 3:30pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call Requirements: 4 weeknights/month and 1 full weekend/month; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call
• Unit Details: 4 OR suites, 1 Endoscopy suite; average 8 surgical cases per day
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Idaho or compact state
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification recommended
• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience, with strong orthopedic nursing background
• Experience with endoscopy and C-section procedures required
• Previous travel nursing experience in the United States required
• Ability to assist with room turnover and collaborate with Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) and orderlies
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
• Must meet on-call requirements and respond within 30 minutes

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical cases, including orthopedic (total joints, sports medicine, trauma), general surgery, gynecology, C-sections, and endoscopy
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Assist with operating room turnover and maintain a clean, organized surgical environment
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and adhere to hospital and healthcare policies
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Fulfill on-call duties as scheduled, ensuring prompt response to emergent surgical cases
