Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Hermitage, TN 37076 (Nashville area)
• Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg), 33 beds
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,440 - $1,550

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong clinical assessment and IV skills
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
• Ability to float to other appropriate hospital units as needed

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate clinical equipment (Kangaroo pumps, SCDs)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including 3 techs per shift and unit secretaries
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
• Participate in unit rotation and float to other nursing units as required
• Uphold hospital policies, patient safety standards, and positive patient experiences
