Travel RN Job Details – Fort Walton Beach, FL

• Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 – Located along the Emerald Coast, offering beautiful white-sand beaches and abundant outdoor recreation.
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860–$2000
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: STEMI call rotation, approximately 10–12 days per month (self-scheduling)
• Facility: 257-bed hospital with 7 holding beds in the Cath Lab
• Technology: GE Innova, Impella; Documentation via MacLab and Meditech

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Florida or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Experience with structural heart procedures, IABP, Impella, IFR, FFR preferred
• Proficiency in PCI, PFO, Impella, IABP procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to float within Electrophysiology (EP) and Stress Lab departments as needed

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
• Assist with advanced cardiac procedures including TAVR, PFO closure, atherectomy, PCI, R/LHC, Impella/IABP, implants, DCCV, and TEE
• Operate and monitor specialized cardiac equipment (GE Innova, Impella)
• Document patient care accurately using MacLab and Meditech systems
• Participate in STEMI call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cardiac cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Wear hospital-provided surgical scrubs and uphold a professional appearance
