- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Assignment Dates: December 23, 2025 – March 21, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $2040
- Unit Size: 12 beds
- Patient Ratio: RN: 1:3-4
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Scrub Color: Any, must be professional
- Parking: Free in designated areas
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license – required for all travel nursing jobs
- Minimum 1 year of Intermediate/PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience (2 years if only Med/Surg with some PCU exposure)
- At least two completed 13-week travel nurse assignments (if first-time traveler)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with trauma and stroke patients (Q2H neuro checks)
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, temporary pacemakers, TR bands, post femoral sheath care
- Skilled in cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem), insulin titration, and drain/ostomy care
- Ability to float to ED, ICU, and CCU as needed
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system preferred
- AACCN and CCRN certifications preferred
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care to cardiac, neuro, trauma, and med/surg patients in an Intermediate Care Unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips, and provide post-procedure cardiac care
- Perform Q2H neuro checks, manage stroke and trauma patients, and respond to emergencies
- Provide respiratory support: high-flow O2, Bipap, trach care, suctioning
- Initiate IVs, manage wound vacs, chest tubes, and drain/ostomy care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams: CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, resource nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and trauma surgery
- Float to ED, ICU, CCU as required
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner and hospital equipment
