Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details
- Location: Birmingham, Alabama 35243
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1400–$1500
- Start Date: December 9, 2025
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or stepdown nursing jobs
- Ability to provide a permanent address at least 50 miles from the Birmingham healthcare facility
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in cardiac patient conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in the EMR
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare procedures
