Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (Registered Nurse jobs in Virginia)
Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for cardiovascular nursing
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environments

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress in the CVICU
Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate advanced cardiac monitoring equipment
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on cardiac treatment plans and recovery processes
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive hospital environment for patients
