Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

Location: Akron, Ohio (44307) – Ohio healthcare job
Assignment Length: 13-week travel nurse contract
Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
Active Ohio RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license
Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications
One supervisory reference in Med/Surg Telemetry (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Onsite badging and fingerprinting required prior to start
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry data; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Offer compassionate support and education to patients and their families
