• Location: Holyoke, MA 01040 – Western Massachusetts healthcare opportunity near outdoor recreation, arts, and dining
• Unit: Emergency Room (includes locked behavioral health unit)
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Number of Openings: 2
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860–$2000

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license (no emergency or pending licenses)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment completed (first-time travelers considered with clear indication)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI (training provided on site), PALS
• Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience, Trauma Level I experience
• Strong clinical skills in triage, procedural sedation, ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and continuous IV sedation

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with diverse medical emergencies
• Provide care for adult and pediatric patients, including those in a locked behavioral health unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, manage ventilated patients, and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in rapid response situations
