Location: Youngstown, Ohio (44504) – Ohio nursing jobs
Healthcare Setting: Intermediate Telemetry Unit (Stepdown)
Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
Start Date: December 15, 2025
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Details: 17-bed unit (10 currently open); patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, renal, stroke/TIA, post-op, and ICU stepdown
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
Minimum 1 year of RN experience in acute care hospital setting preferred
Telemetry nursing experience and dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available)
EPIC EHR experience preferred

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized nursing care plans
Safely administer medications and monitor patient responses
Interpret and sign telemetry strips; manage waveform monitors and collaborate with telemetry technicians
Manage and titrate cardiac drips (heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, insulin)
Provide care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, wound vacs, and multiple drains
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and advocate for patients
Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies
Support patients and families through illness, injury, and treatment decisions
Maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and clear communication in all interactions
