Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Location: Greenville, NC 27834 (Eastern North Carolina healthcare hub)
  • Unit: Palliative Care Inpatient Unit (16 beds)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/29/2025 – End: 3/31/2026)
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Staffing Ratio: 1 Registered Nurse : 5 patients
  • Scheduling: Self-scheduling for flexibility
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910 per week

PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Compact nursing licenses accepted
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit experience (18 months preferred)
  • Proficient in cardiac strip reading
  • IV insertion and PICC line management skills
  • EPIC electronic charting experience preferred
  • Must pass Relias healthcare exams prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
  • Must reside outside an 80-mile radius of Greenville, NC

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver symptom management and end-of-life care for patients with cancer, heart, kidney, pulmonary, or neurological conditions
  • Manage central lines, tracheotomy care, ostomies, wound vacs, and foley catheters
  • Perform IV starts, peripheral and arterial blood draws, Dubhoff/NGT placement and management
  • Administer and monitor intravenous drips (cardiac, insulin, heparin)
  • Operate and manage wound vacs, PCA pumps, epidurals, and tracheostomy equipment
  • Collaborate with ancillary healthcare staff to provide comprehensive clinical support
  • Accurately document patient care using EPIC charting system
