Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Midtown Atlanta, GA 30308 (Georgia nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours each
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Number of Openings: 2
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,590 - $1,710

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience in Med/Surg or PCU
• PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required
• Previous experience in Select Specialty Hospital or acute care setting preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develop individualized care plans and provide patient education
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Participate in rehabilitation programs and discharge planning
• Communicate patient status changes to the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital safety protocols
• Foster a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
