Atlanta Nursing Job Details

• Location: Midtown Atlanta, GA 30308
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Clinical Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570-$1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience in a Med/Surg or PCU setting
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning
• Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity and safety
• Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff
• Maintain a safe environment by following hospital safety protocols and procedures
• Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in unit-based team building activities
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
