Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Salina, Kansas (67401) – Kansas nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 23-bed Progressive Care / Med-Surg Telemetry (3 Center)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (may be every third weekend depending on staffing)
• EMR: Meditech (Meditech EMR experience required)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780–$1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid RN license in the state of Kansas
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
• Experience with Meditech EMR required
• Ability to float to Med-Surg, Emergency Department (ED) for inpatient holds, and ICU for PCU/Med-Surg/Tele patients
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility
• References required
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 23-bed progressive care/Med-Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage post-op cardiac and step-down patients
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage central/PICC lines
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and manage feeding tubes
• Respond to rapid response calls and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, etc.)
• Float as needed to Med-Surg, ED (for inpatient holds), and ICU (for PCU/Med-Surg/Tele patients)
• Document all patient care in Meditech EMR
• Participate in self-scheduling and work every other (or every third) weekend as required
