• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts/week)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Missouri or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience in a hospital setting
• ICU nursing experience and skills suitable for LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital) preferred
• Previous Med/Surg or travel nursing experience preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the EMR
• Provide direct patient care and participate in rehabilitation programs using the nursing process
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and the care team to ensure safety and continuity
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff/orientees
• Maintain a safe healthcare environment, adhering to all hospital safety policies and procedures
• Contribute to positive team dynamics and participate in unit team-building activities
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing nursing education
