Key Job Details – Med/Surg Tele RN

• Location: Rockport, Maine (04856) – Maine healthcare jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: March 8, 2026
• Setting: 45-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• EMR: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – eligible for Maine nursing jobs
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred (not required for travel nurses)
• Proficient IV skills and telemetry monitoring experience
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Completion of required LMS modules
• Strong patient-focused approach, organizational skills, and team collaboration

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and occasional pediatric patients with medical, surgical, orthopedic, and urology needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms for patient safety
• Administer medications and manage IVs according to clinical protocols
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC electronic medical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize clinical equipment including Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Phillips Cardiac Monitor
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code (solid color scrubs; no prints, hoodies, crocs, or open-toed shoes)
