Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
• Location: Willingboro, NJ 08046 (Burlington County)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Healthcare Setting: On-Site, Medical-Surgical Unit
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts per week, every 3rd weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Jersey or compact state
• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience in Med/Surg or acute care
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and create individualized patient care plans within 8 hours of admission
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and participate in patient rehabilitation programs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from admission
• Supervise and mentor LPNs, CNAs, and new staff members
• Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies and clinical safety protocols
• Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team and seek guidance for complex cases
• Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit-based activities
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
