Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
• Location: Ottumwa, IA 52501 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (Registered Nurse licensure required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (travel nursing experience preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications (required for L&D nursing jobs)
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)
• Recent titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) within the last 12 months
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Background checks (including Iowa SING BG) and 10-panel drug screening required prior to start

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to mothers and newborns in active labor and couplet care settings
• Monitor fetal well-being using intermediate fetal monitoring and Philips Tracevue equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, individualized patient care
• Document nursing care and interventions using Meditech EHR system
• Float to other clinical units within the hospital as needed
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and healthcare regulatory requirements
