Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201 (Berkshires – Western Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit
• Employment Type: Travel RN assignment
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
• Holiday Rotation: Required
• On-Call/Weekend: None
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980 - $2120

Registered Nurse & Lactation Consultant Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license (or OT, PT, SLP, Pharmacist license if applicable)
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification with at least 1 year of experience (equivalent certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2,500 hours as a breastfeeding consultant
• Experience in inpatient lactation programs
• Outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education, consultation, or teaching experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience strongly preferred
• Supervisory signed reference from the past two years
• Current skills checklist (within 1 year, relevant to RN/lactation consultant jobs)
• Must have own vehicle for assignment
• Permanent address required (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)

Key Responsibilities for Charge RN – Lactation Consultant

• Provide expert assessment, treatment, consultation, and leadership for optimal lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings
• Develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans for patients with advanced lactation support needs, collaborating with the healthcare team
• Deliver prenatal and postpartum lactation education and consultations to patients and families
• Coordinate and lead lactation programs, ensuring best practices and high-quality patient outcomes
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility and Massachusetts state healthcare regulations
