- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,700–$1,820 per week
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Charleston, SC (ZIP 29425) – South Carolina nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Shift Options: Day shifts: 4x10-hour (6:30am – 5:00pm) or 3x12-hour (6:30am – 7:00pm), Monday through Friday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: No weekends or major holidays required
- On-Call: Not required
- Unit: Ambulatory Operating Room, Rutledge Tower (9 ORs)
- Potential to Float: May float within perioperative facility as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or proof of application
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NBSTSA certification
- Radiation badge (provided by employer)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
- Experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, or Surgical Oncology preferred
- First-time travel nurses not accepted
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
OR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care for adult surgical patients
- Assist with diverse surgical procedures: joint replacements, arthroscopies, plastics, surgical oncology, ENT, ophthalmology, GU, GYN, and more
- Operate specialized surgical equipment: lasers, arthroscopy towers, suction/smoke evacuation systems, etc.
- Adhere to universal protocols and strict infection control standards
- Accurately handle and label surgical specimens
- Precept and mentor care team members in the operating room as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and support staff
- Float within perioperative areas to support facility needs
- Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
