Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
Unit: Neurology Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
Start Date: December 22, 2025
End Date: February 16, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880–$2,020
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
Electronic Medical Record: Epic EMR

PCU Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Neuro-Progressive Care, Stepdown, or ICU nursing
Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Successful completion of a Neuro-Progressive competency exam upon offer
Navy blue scrubs required
Applicants from select local counties may not be eligible for this travel nurse job

PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Neurology Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and assess neurological status, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
Accurately document all care provided using Epic EMR
Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
