Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Seaside, Oregon (97138) – Premier Oregon healthcare destination with stunning beaches and a welcoming atmosphere
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), On-Site
- Start Date: December 22, 2025
- End Date: March 2, 2026
- Duration: 10-week contract
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (Monday–Thursday, 06:30–17:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,240 – $2,400
- On-Call: Up to 2 days per week, including some weekends (Friday 06:30 – Monday 06:30 rotation)
- Float: Required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Scrub Color: Any color (OR/L&D provided)
- Parking: Free onsite
- Vehicle: Reliable vehicle required for travel nurse assignment
PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Oregon RN license (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU and Pre-Anesthesia nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
- Experience in both pre-op and PACU (post-anesthesia care unit) settings
- Ability to float between hospital units and affiliate healthcare facilities
- Reliable vehicle required for travel nursing jobs
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Community hospital experience preferred
PACU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative and post-anesthesia nursing care in a blended pre-anesthesia and PACU department (Phase I, Phase II, Extended Care)
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients before and after surgery using advanced clinical judgment and nursing interventions
- Administer medications, perform pain assessments, and provide detailed discharge instructions
- Obtain operative/procedural consent, conduct pre-op assessments, and deliver patient education
- Interpret lab values, follow infection control and isolation protocols, and implement malignant hyperthermia protocols as needed
- Participate in on-call rotations and float to other units or affiliate hospitals as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, rapid response, and interpretation services
- Accurately document all patient care in Epic EMR
- Care for a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Support a variety of surgical cases including general, ophthalmic, gynecology, orthopedic, C-sections, and endoscopy
