Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Kingwood, TX 77339 (Houston area)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7P-7A)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1610 - $1730
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• AWOHNN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) from AAP
• Proficiency in Magnesium Sulfate Drip and Oxytocin Management
• Experience with insulin drip management preferred
• Strong adaptability and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and OBED units
• Perform sterile vaginal exams, FSE/IUPC placement, and circulate for Cesarean Sections
• Conduct NSTs, Oxytocin induction/augmentation, and Magnesium Sulfate therapy
• Manage insulin drips as needed for patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, scrub techs, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Utilize bedside ultrasounds, fetal monitors, and specialized clinical equipment
• Document patient care using Meditech and GE CPN Centricity EMR systems
• Float to Antepartum Unit (APU) as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, attendance, and scheduling commitments
