ER RN Job Details – Lynchburg, VA
- Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Central Virginia healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/11/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Emergency Room, Level 2 Trauma Center
- Type: Travel nursing assignment
- Orientation: Every other Monday
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780–$1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience in a similar size hospital
- Prior travel nurse experience required
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers required
- Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission)
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (or equivalent such as ATCN/ATLC)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Cerner EMR experience highly preferred
- All requested time off must be submitted with application
- COVID/Flu vaccine declinations accepted with approved documentation
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible for this travel nurse job
ER RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
- Assess, triage, and manage care for patients with acute and critical conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to clinical protocols
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
- Participate in trauma and code response as required
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
