Registered Nurse Qualifications

At least 18 months of recent, permanent experience as a Med/Surg Telemetry RN
Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state RN license
Current BLS and required certifications (must be active at submission)
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and patient condition changes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
Provide patient education and support to patients and their families
Participate in unit orientation, ongoing clinical training, and annual competency modules
