• End Date: April 4, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-Hour Days, Monday–Friday
• Hours per Week: 36–40
• Call Requirement: At least 14 days of call per month; must respond to STEMI call backs within 30 minutes
• Interview Required: No
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100–$2250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (must obtain prior to direct patient care)
• NIH Stroke Certification (preferred)
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided)
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Experience with advanced cardiac procedures and equipment (e.g., balloon pump, Impella, IVUS, TAVR, atherectomy)

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, plan, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Assist with cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiography, balloon/stenting, TAVR, PFO closures, and more
• Circulate and function independently as scrub nurse and circulator in the Cath Lab
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses during procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency and urgent procedures, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families, supporting them through complex cardiac procedures and recovery
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced clinical environment
