• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ortho/Spine Unit
• Location: Bel Air, Maryland 21014 (Baltimore metro area)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1790 - $1920
• Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Unit: Ortho Acute (1W Orthopedics)
• Weekend Coverage: Required (every other weekend)
• Scrubs: Navy blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or Ortho/Spine nursing
• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact State (Maryland nursing jobs)
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Clinical experience with orthopedic and spine patient populations (joint replacement, fracture repair, ACDF, fusion, decompression)
• Proficiency with IV pumps, PCAs, Bucks traction, overbed trapeze, SCDs, foot pumps, incentive spirometers, Hoyer lift, Sara Stedy, walker
• Ability to float within the hospital as needed
• References: 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Preferred: Charge nurse experience, community hospital, trauma experience
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility

Nursing Responsibilities – Ortho/Spine & Telemetry

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Ortho/Spine and Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and deliver specialized orthopedic and spine care
• Administer medications, manage IVs, PCAs, and peripheral lines
• Assist with patient mobility and rehabilitation using equipment (Hoyer lift, Sara Stedy, walkers)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies
• Float to other nursing units within scope of experience as needed
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules
