Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Boston, MA 02215 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Start Date: February 2, 2026
- End Date: February 28, 2026
- Duration: 4 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (mix of 8 and 12-hour shifts; days, evenings, nights; every other weekend and holidays required)
- Setting: Medical-Surgical Float Pool (supporting 15 units in a 600-bed teaching hospital)
- Orientation: Weekly (every Monday, except holidays)
- Parking: Available (public transportation nearby; parking fees may apply)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2310-$2470
- Contract Guarantee: 72 hours biweekly guaranteed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (required at time of application)
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred
- Level I trauma experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate web-based healthcare applications
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Float between 15 medical-surgical units, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, oncology, transplant, and vascular specialties
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, dynamic hospital environment
- Perform unit-specific procedures such as 12-lead EKGs, lasix gtt, blood transfusions, and continuous telemetry monitoring
- Administer nebulizer treatments and collaborate with respiratory therapists for ventilator management
- Adapt to varying patient ratios (4:1 days, 6:1 nights) and flexible assignments provided up to 2 hours before shift
- Work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, every other weekend, and holidays as needed
- Accurately document patient care and progress using Epic EMR
