ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Belton, MO 64012 (Kansas City metro area)
• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1610 - $1730

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Missouri or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong clinical skills in critical care, patient assessment, and communication
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to critical care interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate advanced ICU equipment
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
