Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 16-26 weeks
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: August 10, 2026
• Unit: M5/McClure 5 – Neurosurgical & Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,250
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum every other weekend and/or as needed for patient care

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a large, teaching hospital
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be obtained prior to start)
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible; snow tires recommended November–April)
• Comprehensive work history (including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) must be provided

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a busy neurosurgical and surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status; administer medications and implement care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document care in Epic EMR
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
• Adapt to schedule changes to meet unit and patient care needs
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and healthcare regulations
