Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 16-26 weeks
- Start Date: December 29, 2025
- End Date: August 10, 2026
- Unit: M5/McClure 5 – Neurosurgical & Surgical Telemetry Unit
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,250
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum every other weekend and/or as needed for patient care
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a large, teaching hospital
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be obtained prior to start)
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible; snow tires recommended November–April)
- Comprehensive work history (including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) must be provided
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a busy neurosurgical and surgical telemetry unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status; administer medications and implement care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document care in Epic EMR
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
- Adapt to schedule changes to meet unit and patient care needs
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and healthcare regulations
