Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Academic hospital, post-surgical Med/Surg unit
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: January 11, 2026
• Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020 per week
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency testing score, or 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience (no testing required)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Competency test must be completed within 24 hours of submission
• Experience with post-operative care, including TPN, NG tubes, and central lines preferred

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from colorectal and urologic surgeries in a Med/Surg setting
• Collaborate with Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses for specialized ostomy and wound care
• Monitor and manage patients requiring TPN, NG tubes, and central lines
• Accurately document all patient care in Epic EMR
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff
