Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Reno, NV 89502 (Nevada healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Level II Trauma Center – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) / Cardiac Stepdown
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
- Shifts: 3x12 hour nights (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed weekly hours)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (W2)
- Call Requirements: None
- Holiday Requirements: Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license (required prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent IMC/Stepdown nursing experience
- Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Proficiency with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and tracheostomy management
- Ability to pass ECG/Telemetry exam (must read and interpret rhythm strips)
- Flexibility to float to other nursing units within competency
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver optimal patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide comprehensive clinical support to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including families and caregivers
- Manage patients with severe but non-life-threatening cardiac and neurological conditions requiring complex assessments and therapies
- Care for patients with post-ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory diagnoses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure clinical excellence and exceptional patient service
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma center
- Pick up one additional shift per schedule period (every 4 weeks) as needed
- Work weekends and major holidays as scheduled
