• Location: Charleston, West Virginia 25301
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department (24 beds)
• Job Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:00am), weekdays and every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Orientation: 16 hours (every other Thursday)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570-$1680

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in Emergency Room nursing
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted; must be active before start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI (CPI may be obtained prior to start)
• Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• First-time travel nurses welcome with relevant experience
• Permanent address at least 100 miles from facility (75–100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical exemptions accepted)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for trauma, neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and renal emergencies
• Manage multiple high-acuity patients in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and emergency procedures
• Float within scope to support facility needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner charting system
• Participate in weekend shift rotations
