• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule period

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Previous telemetry nurse experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Experience with any charting system required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a rotating-schedule environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Support patients with conditions such as oncology-related diagnoses, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, abnormal labs, and post-procedure needs
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to respond to rapid changes and escalate concerns when needed
• Maintain accurate charting and clinical documentation throughout the shift
• Follow safety, isolation, and infection-control protocols in a secure care environment
• Float within the organization as needed and adapt to unit needs with professionalism
