• Shift Times: 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and rotating holidays
• Work Setting: On-site

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Recent Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-care skills

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and telemetry patients in a float pool environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, clinical status, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Complete thorough patient assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and patient education using Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns according to clinical protocols
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, comfort, and continuity of care
• Adapt effectively to varying unit assignments and patient-care needs within the nursing float pool
