Description

LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC License -Required. BLS-Aha- Required. Experience working in Emergency Psychiatric Services/"Crisis" or inpatient behavioral health settings is preferred, but not required. SOMC Emergency Psychiatric Service - providing treatment in the Emergency Dept for patients presenting with acute psychiatric symptoms. Position operates on a 3-week rotation, Every 3rd weekend will need coverage and days during the week vary. Must be highly reliable and be available -Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
-Knowledge of crisis intervention theory and its application in a variety of medical settings.
-Knowledge of psychopathology and differential diagnosis and treatment techniques.
