Position Details

Unit Information

  • Unit: Neuro-Vascular Intensive Care Unit (NVICU)
  • Number of Beds: 16
  • Number of Staff: 46
  • Shift Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs
    • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 2:1
  • Equipment: Standard ICU equipment
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Certifications and Licenses

  • Required Certifications:
    • NIH Certification
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Work Environment and Expectations

  • Floating Areas: All ICUs, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Progressive Care Unit (PCU) floors
  • Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
  • Schedule Requirements: Must work at least 4 weekends per schedule period
  • Personality Fit: Team player, accountable, caring
