Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • ICU Registered Nurse position with an ASAP start.
  • Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each).
  • Float and every 3rd weekend required.
  • Surgical ICU experience required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
  • Minimum 2 years of Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) experience, including SICU experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).

Additional Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana).
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required.
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap (within 10 years preferred).
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually.
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start.
  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years.
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information.
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exams and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams required within 3 years of start, with minimum passing scores.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Float between units as needed.
  • Work every 3rd weekend.
  • Night shift hours (1900-0700).
