Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including ongoing assessment and skilled nursing interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, patient education, assist with transfers, respond to alarms, and other nursing duties.
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans.
• Function as a team leader/member and resource, delegating and overseeing support staff.
• Comply with all local, state, federal regulations, and facility policies related to patient care.
• Patient ratio target: 1 nurse to 4-6 patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including Neuro PCU experience.
• PCU experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Active National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Summary

This is a night shift, temporary RN position in a Neuro PCU setting requiring at least 2 years of RN experience, specialized PCU skills, and multiple certifications.
