Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient Therapy

Location: Kingman, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide a full range of Occupational Therapy services including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment. Deliver patient-centered care with attention to comfort, pain management, and maintaining a clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Occupational Therapy evaluations or screens.
• Develop individualized Plans of Care with functional goals.
• Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions and modify plans based on patient response.
• Document patient care progress and ongoing treatment needs accurately and completely.
• Educate patients and families to support goal achievement.
• Adhere to attendance policies and maintain a professional image.
• Follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations including those from the Arizona State Board of Occupational Therapy and Medicare.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and support Occupational Therapy student programs.
• Participate in continuing education, staff meetings, client relations, and marketing activities.
• Ensure billing is completed accurately and justified by documentation by the end of each shift.
• Meet or exceed department standards for productivity and patient satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona
• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working in inpatient and rehabilitation settings
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patients
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• AED certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving people with physical disabilities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Category II exposure risk: possible but not routine exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and communicate effectively to provide therapeutic interventions.

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted.
• Up to one shift may be canceled every two weeks.
• Orientation includes 12 hours of non-billable time; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.
• If license is not in hand at application, start date will be set approximately 4 weeks out to allow for licensing processing.
• Workdays are Friday through Tuesday.
