Description
Registered Nurse - MS/Tele
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Every 3rd weekend rotation, holidays as needed
- Float required if needed
- Patient population: Inpatient Renal (Chronic Kidney Disease, Acute Kidney Injury, ESRD) and general Medical Surgical
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4-5
- Telemetry experience required
- EPIC experience required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- At least one completed travel nursing assignment
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- EKG certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Pass/Fail Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required (must score 82% or higher, 2 attempts allowed)
- EPIC test required (2 attempts allowed)
- Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification for certain units)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification (Associate’s degree in nursing or higher required)
- Transcript/Diploma copy for highest education
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually
- Physical exam (if applicable)
- References: 2 supervisory references required (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
- Work history verification for last 5 years
Additional Information
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Must complete all compliance requirements by deadline prior to start date
- Floating between units may be required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Facility-specific policies and dress code must be reviewed and acknowledged
Prior Travel Experience
- No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required)
This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with telemetry and inpatient renal experience who are comfortable working 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates must be fully compliant with all licensure, certification, and health requirements prior to start.
