Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Alternating shifts:
- Week 1: 4 days, 10-hour shifts (06:30-17:00)
- Week 2: 4 days, 10-hour shifts (08:30-19:00)
- Call required: Yes
- Call week runs Wednesday to Wednesday with a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation required among staff
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
- Epic experience required
- No first-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- State license verification required within 30 days of start
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Experience with Epic
Additional Requirements
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Drug screening within 30 days of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent and/or historical with documentation)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination (required Oct 1 – March 31)
- Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gaps over 30 days
- Competency exams and annual updates required (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, core competencies)

- Candidates must meet all credentialing and compliance requirements prior to start
- Call and weekend coverage are mandatory parts of the schedule
