Description
Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Canton, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Day shift: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Call requirements:
- On call every other weekend or every third weekend depending on staffing
- If not on weekend call, approximately 2 call days per week
- If on weekend call, 1 additional call day that week
- Must work at least every other holiday
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- Experience circulating in the Cath Lab
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- AHA or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to safely perform job functions
- Fit mask test (N95) within 12 months, updated annually
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Tdap (every 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol, updated annually
- Annual flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
- Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
- Snellen eye exam within 1 year
Background & Documentation
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment
- Background check required prior to start, including:
- FCRA compliant 7-year search
- SSN trace, nationwide sex offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3, education verification
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months, updated annually
- Employment application with at least 3 years prior work history including 2 years clinical acute care experience in a similar area
- Two professional references from within 1 year of start (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
Orientation & Testing
- Completion of online onboarding modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
- Baseline competency exams during orientation:
- Medication administration (SafeMedicate) with 90% passing score
- ECG interpretation with 80% passing score
- Prep materials provided before first attempt
- Retake opportunities and remediation available if needed

- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific onboarding and documentation processes
- Facility accommodates latex allergies with notification
