Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Denver, Colorado

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36

Unit Information

Labor & Delivery unit with 29 beds, including 4 ORs, 3 PACU bays, 12 Antepartum rooms, and 10 Triage rooms
Staff on day shift: 22 RNs, 2-3 CSTs, 1 Charge nurse, 1 Flex nurse
Staff on night shift: 20 RNs, 1-2 CSTs, 1 Charge nurse, 1 Flex nurse
Patient ratio: 2:1
Equipment: Centricity and GE monitors
EMR systems: Meditech / CPN

Typical Procedures

Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Dilation and curettage (D&C)
Hysterectomy
Postpartum tubal ligation
Cerclage placement
External cephalic version
Care for high-risk obstetrics patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
OR - Operating Room experience
ACLS
AWHONN
BLS
NRP
