Description
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Location: Statesboro, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (5 PM – 5 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
- Provide patient care in the Emergency Department using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Unit Details
- Unit beds: 29 plus 8 hallway beds
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
- EMR system: Cerner
- Scrub color: Navy
- Blocked scheduling with efforts to cluster days while meeting weekend requirements
- No 48-hour weekly guarantees
- One major and one minor holiday may be required
- No maximum restrictions on return-to-office (RTO) as long as full-time equivalent (FTE) and weekend requirements are met
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Successful completion of at least 2 previous travel nursing assignments
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Position requires night shift coverage with a 12-hour shift (5 PM to 5 AM)
- Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care based on clinical nursing practices
- May be required to float to other units as needed
Prior Travel Experience
- Must have completed at least 2 previous travel assignments successfully
