Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location

  • Asheville, North Carolina

Employment Type

  • Travel contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Department: Respiratory Services
  • Number of beds: 854
  • Number of staff: 120
  • Shifts:
    • Day Shift: 15-20 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
    • Night Shift: 12-16 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
  • Patient ratios: 10-25 patients per therapist
  • Equipment used:
    • GE R860 Adult ventilators
    • Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
    • Newport HT70 transport ventilator
    • V60 Non-invasive device
    • Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner
  • Floating assignments: All critical care units and floors
  • Dress code: Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs
  • Weekend/on-call requirements: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
