Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location

  • Cleveland, Ohio

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
  • Weekends as needed
  • May float to other facilities as required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
  • Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
  • Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • NBRC certification
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid government-issued photo ID must be carried on assignment
  • Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding
  • Negative 2-step TB test or chest x-ray clearance within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved mask models required)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required
  • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
  • Immunization or titer proof required for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
    • Varicella
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
  • Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
  • Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting relevant to the assignment
  • Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist required; must be updated annually
  • HIPAA acknowledgment form required; must be updated annually

Orientation & Onboarding

  • Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser
  • Badge photo required before start; badge must be obtained from the facility after completing modules
  • Facility onboarding includes fingerprinting and TB results submission
  • I9/E-Verify attestation required

Additional Notes

  • Scheduling and return-to-office (RTO) requests must be communicated during submission and interview
  • All prior work history, including any previous positions at this facility, must be included in the candidate profile
  • Candidates may be required to float to other facilities within the system as needed
