Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Hudson, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 40


Job Description

  • Perform procedures including TAVR, Mitral/Tri Clips, Carotid stenting, TMVR, PFO closures, and Watchman device placements.
  • Scrub for cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Work in a cardiac cath lab with 5 procedure suites.
  • Unit uses advanced equipment such as Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, and Rotoblator.
  • EMR systems used: MacLab and Meditech.
  • Patient ratio approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members.
  • Day shift staffing includes 1 Director, 1 CNC, 4.6 RNs, and 5 techs.
  • Night shift is on-call for emergent cases.
  • Typical procedures: Diagnostic and Interventional Cath, Peripheral Vascular, Pacers, ICDs, Watchman, TAVR, EP/ABL.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
  • Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
  • Cardiac Catheterization experience
  • Coronary Intervention (CRM) experience
  • Peripheral Vascular (PV) experience
  • TAVR procedure experience
  • Mitral Clip procedure experience
  • Tricuspid Clip procedure experience
  • Carotid stenting experience
  • TMVR procedure experience
  • PFO closure experience
  • Watchman device experience

Schedule & Work Conditions

  • Scheduled according to facility policy.
  • Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital staff.
