Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with 16 beds, providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients.
High acuity environment requiring professional competency.
Collaborative multidisciplinary care team focused on optimal patient outcomes.
Commitment to patient comfort and safety.

Work Schedule & Requirements

Willingness to float to other units and hospitals.
Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.
Holidays as required by facility.
Every other weekend required.
Solid navy scrub dress code.
Parking available.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience
At least 1 year of recent MICU experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

PALS certification if working in pediatric units.

Additional Information

Position is patient-facing and clinical.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
