Unit Information

  • Unit: Emergency Department
  • Number of Beds: 12
  • Staff per Shift:
    • Day Shift: 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech (11a-11p), 1 Unit Secretary (9a-5p M-F)
    • Night Shift: 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech (11a-11p), 1 Unit Secretary (5p-1a M-F)
  • Patient Ratio: 4:1
  • Typical Procedures: STEMI, Stroke/TPA, RSI
  • EMR system used

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge in Neurology and Cardiology
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Work Schedule

  • Approximately 36 hours per week

Dress Code

  • Preferred scrub color: Royal blue (not required)
  • No competitor emblems allowed on attire
