Unit Information
- Unit: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 12
- Staff per Shift:
- Day Shift: 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech (11a-11p), 1 Unit Secretary (9a-5p M-F)
- Night Shift: 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech (11a-11p), 1 Unit Secretary (5p-1a M-F)
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Typical Procedures: STEMI, Stroke/TPA, RSI
- EMR system used
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge in Neurology and Cardiology
- Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Work Schedule
- Approximately 36 hours per week
Dress Code
- Preferred scrub color: Royal blue (not required)
- No competitor emblems allowed on attire
